Mercury is the chief ruler of the nerve forces and mental faculties of mankind. He is always close to the Sun, never farther than twenty eight degrees, and per¬forms his orbit in, eighty-seven days, twenty three hours.
He takes on the quality of the planets with which he is configurated, and as such he is good, or bad, lucky or unlucky.
